Projects Manager

Our cleaning company has nearly 30 years of experience and we are currently seeking a qualified Projects Manager to join our team. The position is located at our Kingston, ON location.

The Projects Manager will manage crews at all assigned client assignments, and ensure all responsibilities are performed according to policies, procedures, work instructions, and ensuring job safety is the number one priority.

Duties

· Maintain a SAFETY 1st mandate using Felt Leadership to achieve ZERO incidents

· Prepare and submit reports and key indicator tracking sheets on a regular basis

· Administer progressive discipline in a fair and consistent manner

· Prepare and communicate annual performance appraisals for direct reports

· Plan and conduct regular meetings with supervisors and hourly employees

· Utilize site communication boards to post company notices and safety alerts

· Plan and submit fiscal year operating budgets to senior management

· Track and quantify cost savings, cost avoidance and/or added value cleaning activities

· Interact with the client to foster feedback on service and quality issues

· Ensure team members clean all areas and any issues are addressed with customer

· Assess and maintain a high quality of work

· Ensure all incident/accident reports are properly completed in a timely manner

· Maintain and revise all work instructions to ensure safety, and efficiency

· Manage supplies of materials and equipment on a regular basis

· Ensure compliance with all health and safety laws and regulations

· Manage transfer station operations to ensure all activities follow applicable laws and regulations

Qualifications

· Minimum of 5 years’ Management/Supervision experience in an Industrial environment

· Minimum high school level education/Business Degree is favorable

· Lean manufacturing experience preferred

· Sales experience an asset

· Experience in water blasting and vacuum truck technology an asset

· Experience in waste hauling, waste management, and operating a waste transfer station (liquid) an asset

· Ability to effectively manage 15-25 employees

· Ability to bid and execute large projects

· Proven experience in managing budgets

· Time management, detail oriented, and communication skills

· Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint

· Previous leadership experience in an industrial environment, and waste management facility

· Must have driver’s license (Ontario DZ license preferred)
