Strategic acquisition expands TEAM Group’s hydro excavation, dewatering, underground infrastructure, and environmental service capabilities.
AURORA, ON, April 9, 2026 /CNW/ — TEAM Group Inc. (“TEAM Group”), a leading North American provider of integrated industrial and facility services, is pleased to announce the acquisition of A&J Vacworx Inc. (“A&J”), a premier hydro excavation and dewatering services provider based in East Gwillimbury, Ontario.
The acquisition strengthens TEAM Group’s Industrial Services platform and expands its capabilities across hydro excavation, underground infrastructure support, dewatering, and environmental services.
Founded in 2005, A&J has built a strong reputation supporting major utility and infrastructure contractors across Ontario. Its services support critical gas, hydro, telecommunications, and water infrastructure, backed by a specialized equipment fleet and a purpose-built 19-acre facility in Mount Albert, Ontario with an integrated dewatering and processing plant.
The acquisition supports TEAM Group’s long-term strategy of building a more comprehensive, self-performing industrial services platform with expanded exposure to essential infrastructure markets. A&J adds specialized field capabilities that complement TEAM’s existing industrial cleaning, integrated facility management, environmental, technical, and project services.
The transaction includes 100% of A&J Vacworx Inc., hydro excavation equipment assets, dewatering plant assets, and associated real estate through Griffin Group Real Estate Ltd.
James De Ferrari, founder of A&J Vacworx, will support the transition and integration of the business following closing, helping maintain continuity across customer relationships, employees, and operational expertise.
A&J will become a key component of TEAM Group’s Industrial Services Division, benefiting from TEAM’s broader operational infrastructure, customer network, procurement capabilities, and scalable support systems.
